2500 Miles of Meganess

So we set off on the 2nd of Sept 2008 in a fully custom caddy van pushing 200bhp on a mission to Norway and the Biggest, Craziest Car Show in the world. This Mission would take us through 7 Countries and cover just under 2500miles, along the way we met some great people, broke down twice, smashed into a car, Blagged a free ticket to the car show and annoyed Germans on the Autoban.......... This photo was in Bruges, the weird thing was i watched the Film "In Bruges" the night before so it was all a bit sureal.....

After Smashing it through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany we got to Copenhagen. We found this student bar where they were having it! so we introduced English Class and assended on the dance floor Yeah?

After waking up in the centre of Denmarks Hectic Capital Copenhagen, we made our way across the mega bridge that connects Sweden to Denmark.

Once we got to Sweden we found this treat of a place to cook a BBQ and Chill, oh and there were swings Yey!

From here we cruised up the west coast of Sweden on route to Gothenburg for a lil site seeing..........but on the way we heard the engine suddenly dump air!............me and sam looked at each other hoping that it was just a pipe that had blown off but nooooooo, Sams Custom Intercooler had split!!!! Not good Yeah? So we spent the next 2hrs trying to fix it, we ended up finding a dude who let us use his garage where Sam was able to Gas weld this little bad boy up!

Once back on the road we headed into Gothenburg, If you have never been there then you're missing out! After chilling in the town we needed to find a place to sleep for the night so i found a lake on the map that was about 30mins from Gothenburg. Once we got there we set up a fire and cooked some Fajitas............

When we woke up we headed straight to the Jetty to grab our first bath in a few days, and it was COLD....................however we both agreed it was the best bath we had ever had!From Gothenburg we carried on up Sweden heading to Norway, along the way we found a lake that was so big you couldn't see the other side, it was crazy...........here i tried to catch a fish but i had no luck, damn those fish!
We pressed up into Norway and our destination which was a car show at a race track in Rakkestead...........The Car Show is called Gatebil and it was nuts, it's a two day event so there is camping there and also a after party which was mental...................We also mangaged to blag a free ticket worth £60........pow

These guys didn't care at all, they just turned up with their big turbos and just ragged them untill they broke or there tyres blew up......................

From these photos you can see that there where nice expensive cars then there where the bizzare ones..................This Volvo had a huge turbo and it ran all day without blowning up!!!!!!
So we made it and all we had to do now was to make it back to Dunkerque for our ferry back to Dover........................On the way back we broke an engine mount which crippled us big time but we mangaged to fix it and crawled back to france and made our ferry!

So after 2500miles we made it back home to our families! Mission impossible completed!
